CHEF'S AWARDS
Since its inauguration in 1981 A Chaminé restaurant is a regional reference that Chef Joaquim Feliciano has internationally projected, and his work has been recognized with several awards, including:
The award from the Tourism Directorate and C.R.T.A. at the Algarve Gastronomy Contest in 1984 and 1985.
In 1986 he was the Algarve representative for the Gastronomic Week that took place in Sevilla at the El Corte Inglés Restaurant.
In 1987, it is awarded by Trademarks Corp. Publication from Washingtons DC (USA) with the Golden Rooster, the highest award given to the best restaurants in Europe.
That same year he was the Algarve's representative during the Bahía de Cadiz Casino Restaurant Week at El Porto de Santa Maria, Cadiz (Spain).
The S.A. International Trade Publications award the Silver Necklace in 1993 and the Gold Necklace in 1998.
On April 17, 1998, at the Jolly Hotel V. Veneto in Rome, Italy, he received the International Golden Cup for Gastronomy, awarded by the Italian Center for World Economic Promotion.
This award is given to restaurants that stand out for their excellent quality of cuisine, fineness in service and professional seriousness.
At the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games in Australia, he had the honor of being a representative of the Casa de Portugal.
In 2010, he was awarded the Golden Cataplana, in the Cataplana Experience contest promoted by Turismo de Portugal - Algarve.
